Our world is full of promises. Work harder and you’ll be successful. Buy more and you’ll be satisfied. Follow your heart and you’ll be happy. Yet so many of the things that promise us happiness, security, and purpose eventually leave us wanting something more. What if there is a better promise?
Over the coming months, we will journey through the Old Testament, following the story of God’s covenant promises beginning in Genesis and discover how they ultimately lead us to Jesus. We will see how the Bible is one unfolding story of a faithful God redeeming a broken people. From the earliest promises in the creation story through Israel’s kings and prophets, every covenant reveals our need for something and Someone better. Join us this Sunday as we discover how the promises of the Old Testament point us toward the ultimate promise fulfilled in Jesus.
